Agility & Hoopers Instructor:

Lindsey Bridges (Kirkbridgend Border Collies)

010b00937854034f50390c45d92a6f87566ba107

Lindsey started agility in 2011 with Poppy (Kirkwind Poppet At Kirkbridgend AW(D) CSC CAP OAC). They have progressed all the way up from G1 to G7 and Championship Classes, the top grade and level in the UK Kennel Club competitions, where they have multiple wins and top placings including competing in a Large Championship Final. All clear rounds and placings gain points to collect towards warrant titles and Poppy has now gained her Agility Warrant Diamond AW(D)) the top UK Agility Warrant. They have also progressed from Beginners to Champ in Performance and Steeplechase, the top grades at UK Agility where again they have multiple wins and Poppy gained her CSC, CAP and OAC titles. Poppy won The Agility Club Large G6 league 2019 with all the points she gained for her wins, placings and clears. Unfortunately due to her age and the COVID pandemic, Poppy has now retired from agility but has taken up Hoopers to keep her active and happy and has already won some classes.

Lindsey has competed Poppy's daughter Ellie (Kirkbridgend Rock Star AW(G)) to  G6 and to Senior Performance at UK Agility where she also competed Ellie to 4th place at the Grand Finals 2018. Ellie was 8th in The Agility Club Large G5 league 2019 even though Lindsey had restricted her to only jumping classes for the majority of the year.

Lindsey has had an amazing first year with Ellie's daughter Thea's (Kirkbridgend Athena AW(B)) and they have already had numerous jumping, agility and steeplechase wins and top placings at G3 KC and Beginners UKA. Thea was 4th in The Agility Club Large G3 league 2019 even though she was restricted to only jumping classes almost all year.

Lindsey is also beginning Thea's brother Cole's career (Kirkbridgend Kairos) who has taken time to mature and has been Lindsey's main Hoopers dog until Poppy joined him half way through 2020. He has also started his agility career and has had a win and multiple top placings in Anysize classes so far. Unfortunately the COVID pandemic has stopped him from competing properly in 2020 but he has been doing well in training.

As well as attending regular lessons Lindsey has done a lot of her dogs training herself at home, particularly teaching the younger three's weaves and Poppy, Ellie and Cole's contacts herself successfully. With Thea Lindsey learned to teach running contacts with the help and training from a friend.

Lindsey is a member of North Downs agility club and Kelluki Agility where she continues to train regularly. In addition Lindsey has regular private lessons at Sussex County Dog Training with Cole. She has also attended many clinics over the years with various top trainers to improve her knowledge.

Lindsey and her friend Val also run Wessex Agility Club which is a KC Listed Club and puts on a KC Open Agility Show each year.

Lindsey is also part of the Kelluki Hoopers show team who try to put on regular hoopers shows throughout the year when COVID allows.

Lindsey qualified as an agility instructor after attending training and passing an assessment at Diamond Dogs.

She passed her Accredited Canine Hoopers UK Instructors course in January 2018.

Lindsey is very keen on using positive, modern, force free training methods as she wants dogs to love what they do as well as their owners.

Lindsey is fully insured as a dog trainer and is based in Liss.
